In 2002 I was involved in a R.T.A, after which medical professionals advised my parents to expect the worst. Despite initial concerns over whether I would survive or not and if I did, I would most likely be paralysed; after seven weeks, I was fortunate enough to beat all the odds and came out of my coma!
As expected, there were ongoing issues due to the massive brain trauma I had suffered. I had learned to walk and talk again, the single most challenging experience of my life is loosing the ability to speak anyone who knows me knows I love to chat.
I was also diagnosed with Epilepsy and prescribed multiple medications to control the seizures – these had a negative impact in that I felt like a zombified version of my prior self (and the episodes continued).
With Doctors unable to provide any alternative treatments, I started to research alternative medicines. I immediately fell upon information that highlighted the impact that Cannabis can have in treating these conditions and learned that consumption increases blood flow to the brain.
Against good and common advice, I took the risk of self-medicating using Cannabis. Immediately my condition seemed to come under control, and over time I realised that when not consuming Cannabis, my seizures re-appeared.

My experience provided me with all the evidence I needed to have a firm belief in the anti-spasmodic and anti-convulsant properties of cannabidiol and highlights the therapeutic value of this fantastic plant. Now 12 years seizure-free, living life to its fullest, I can't thank my belief in the club enough. I beat it!
CBD treatments are now more common than ever in treating multiple conditions. With the increasing regulatory acceptance of CBD-based products, it's now time to broaden the invitation list to join 'The Believe Club After years of researching the industry we learnt that companies lacked compliance , transparency and traceability.
